chunk finder

finds the LEGO blocks in language — recurring word sequences that might be mental chunks, not grammar-tree constituents

based on Christiansen & Nielsen (2026): language may be built from linear, LEGO-like chunks rather than hierarchical trees. these chunks — "can i have a", "it was in the" — don't fit grammar trees, but they prime like real mental units. the gap between human language and animal communication may be far smaller than assumed.
